Robot Configuration
The main interface for the Gas Bot will be the eBox. The eBox would communicate with the other
peripherals: the gas sensor, a webcam, the iRobot, and the remote computer. The design will be developed
with the following goals:
Detect gas concentration
Report the type of gas
Locate the source of the gas leak
Personal Computer Interface
The objective for the personal computer in this project is to control and monitor the Gas Bot
wirelessly. This computer will also include user-friendly software that is capable of controlling the robot,
showing the concentration of different gases, and displaying the location of the robot. The goals for the
remote computer are:
Provide user-friendly main interface (GUI)
Display the concentration of carbon monoxide
Control the robot wirelessly
Able to monitor the robot position and movement through a webcam
