KEYPAD OPTIONS
690 Series and 790 Series keypads also
provide a Keypad Options menu that is
available only to system installers and
service technicians. Installers can enter
Keypad Options to congure the keypad
for the customer in many ways including
setting the keypad address and changing
the default keypad message.
RETROFIT ANY EXISTING DMP
SYSTEM
Designed to allow easy retrotting, the
690 Series and 790 Series keypads are
compatible with all existing DMP panels
and require no special modules or panel
upgrades. You can provide a new look and
greater functionality to an existing system
at just a fraction of the cost of all new
equipment.
DISTINCT SOUND PATTERNS
The keypads also provide distinct sound
patterns for burglary, re, zone monitor,
and prewarn that can help users identify
the event occurring on their system.
MULTIPLE KEYPADS INSTALLED
ON ONE RUN
Multiple keypads can also be installed on
the same wire run to increase cost savings
on every installation.
790/793 FOUR ADDITIONAL
PROTECTION ZONES
To reduce the expense and potential
service problems inherent in “home-
running” your security devices to the
panel, the 790 and 793 keypads provide
four fully programmable Class B protection
zones you can use for a variety of burglary,
re, and access control applications.
ZONE TYPE SELECTION
The zones can be programmed with any
of the panel's available zone types such
as night, re, re supervisory, panic, exit,
and emergency.
ZONE DEVICE CHOICES
You can connect many different devices to
the zones such as PIRs, door and window
contacts, pull stations, sprinkler tamper
switches, and silent panic buttons. The
exibility of this design allows you to plan
the installation in a way that affords the
best coverage while eliminating potential
problems associated with multiple wire
runs.
693/793 BUILT-IN PROXIMITY
READER
Leading the way in security/access control
innovation, the 693 and 793 keypads
contain advanced, built-in proximity
reader circuitry that allows users to
simply present their access credentials to
the keypad to gain access to a protected
area.
793 KEYPAD FEATURES:
EXTERNAL CARD READER
CONNECTION
An external card reader can be connected
to the 793 keypad in addition to the
internal reader capability. You can use
any proximity, magnetic stripe, or other
reader that outputs Wiegand format.
REQUEST TO EXIT
You can also connect a normally open PIR
or exit button to Zone 3 on the 793 keypad
to provide the Easy Exit™ feature.
INTERNAL DOOR ACCESS
RELAY
Each 793 keypad contains an internal
Form C dry contact relay that can be
used to control door strikes or magnetic
locks on entrances to buildings, ofces,
or restricted areas within a home or
business.
SOFT-SHUNT™ MOMENTARY
BYPASS
For enabling access through doors on
24-hour zones, 793 keypads allow you to
connect the door contact to Zone 2 on
the keypad and provide a 40-second zone
shunt whenever the door is opened.
